Too bad for them. A nicer option would be to open his/her work to the world and let it become the seed and inspiration for even more art work! (I'm not an artist, and I'm probably too ideologic and I've been working for too long on opensource software, but I don't get it why artists are so attached to their own works to a level that prevents them to let others pay them respect by remixing their creations (and paying them the due credit)... go figure.). This data is gold! ;-)
